INDICATIONS:
Co-Artelum is indicated for the treatment of malaria in children, caused by all forms of plasmodium including severe malaria caused by multiple drug resistant strains of P. falciparum.
DIRECTION FOR RECONSTITUTION
To make 60 ml of suspension, add 45 ml of water invert bottle and shake until powder is dispersed, then slowly add more water up to the mark on a label.

Knowledge:
Co-Artelum is a combination of two medications, artemether and lumefantrine, used to treat malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum that is not treatable with chloroquine. It is not typically used for preventing malaria. The medication is taken orally.
Common side effects include muscle and joint pains, fever, loss of appetite, and headache.Serious side effects include prolongation of the QT interval.
This combination came into medical use in 1992 and was developed in China. It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines.
